Cardiddy.com acts as an intermediary for car rentals worldwide for various national and international car hire firms. In the event of receiving an inappropriate service from one of our service partners our clients will be supported by our company in full to assure that the service of the supplier meets the terms and conditions of the contract made.

All rates offered by Cardiddy.com are independent rates not associated to direct offers of any provider. In any case the Cardiddy rates serve as the base for the contract between Cardiddy.com and the customer. All offers shown in any Cardiddy publication, including websites, brochures or other kinds of media are always subject to a final confirmation of availability.

Application of Terms: These terms will regulate the contractual relationship between Cardiddy.com and its customers.

Applicability


However, conditions applicable to a specific reservation would always be those shown on the Cardiddy website at the time of its submission.

Subrogation of terms

In those cases not described and regulated under Cardiddy.com general terms & conditions, the providers' business terms will be applicable. For any other case the parties will submit to the regulations established by local law of the provider and rental country.

Specific conditions applicable to vehicle rentals

Conditions published on our web site when sending the booking together with those included on the confirmation voucher, will always be the ones applicable to a specific reservation.

  1. Delivery
    The reserved car will be delivered to the renter, or to a person previously authorized by the renter, after showing personal identification and handing over the reservation confirmation voucher. Such document would have been previously sent by Cardiddy and must be signed by the credit card holder.

    The confirmation voucher is the guarantee of payment of your booking. Cardiddy.com and its associates can refuse the delivery of the car if such document is not handed over. Should this be the case, the customer expressly renounces taking action against Cardiddy.com or its associate for any loss or damages. Our associates will always try to prepare the contract in advance. Please note that depending on the season this will not always be possible.

    The delivery staff is entitled for security reasons to take note of the details of a credit card, necessarily in the presence of the credit card holder. This is only for security reasons, no charges will be made to this credit card except in the cases described in these conditions. Please note this credit card does not have to be the same as the one used for the rental payment.

    Cancellations
    All reservations cancelled by a Customer who cannot demonstrate circumstances beyond his control will be penalized with a 30.- Euros fee that will be charged directly to his credit card. Please note that you can also select a Travel cancellation insurance for your car rental to avoid this cancellation fee. The insurance costs 7,- Euros per booking. Reservations must be cancelled in written up to 2 hours before the rental starts.

    No-show
    Should a bank refuse the charge of the car rental total, the reservation will automatically be cancelled. In this case the CAR RENTAL VOUCHER will no longer be valid and our associate informed accordingly. Should this be the case, the customer expressly renounces taking action against Cardiddy.com or its associate for any loss or damages.
  2. Payment of reservations
    Cardiddy.com will charge services provided to the credit card indicated by the Customer. Please note that credit card is the only valid payment method, no other can be accepted. The payment will be taken once the availability of the requested vehicle has been confirmed. By sending a reservation to Cardiddy.com the customer accepts the corresponding charges to his credit card.

    Collection politics

    All payments in relation to the Customer's car rental must be made to Cardiddy.com, except charges for fuel and supplements such as night delivery, out of hours, supplement for one-way renals, supplement for deliveries on a bank holiday, border crossing insurance etc. These must be paid on delivery to the delivery staff. Please note that no other expenses should be paid directly to the local delivery station. Such payments would not discharge any debts owed to Cardiddy.com except in those cases listed in the specific conditions of the selected vehicle (please check these by clicking on the picture of the vehicle in the price lists, or by clicking on the "full details & conditions" link) or if a written authorisation from Cardiddy.com has been obtained.
  3. Invoicing
    All invoices are made in EUROS (€). The indicated rates are always based on 24-hour periods counting from pick-up time. In case of special offers, specific conditions will be listed.The minimum rental period usually is three days, in exceptional cases shorter rentals may be available.
  4. Rates
    Rates include the following:
    • Local taxes
    • Unlimited mileage
    • Fully comprehensive insurance coverage, including Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with excess coverage. Depending on the destnation, partner and type of vehicle selected, some of the providers might charge a you with CDW in case of accident. Cardiddy.com will return the Excess once the customer has returned from his trip. Please see Paragraph 18 (Insurance and Collsion damage waiver) for further details.
    • Unlimited third party liability. Full insurance coverage for the first driver. In most locations second driver is also covered. Please check our online price lists for specific information for the destination of your choice.VERY IMPORTANT: insurance does not cover accidents or damages caused by driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
      Free airport delivery. At some airports a maximum parking fee must be paid by the Customer. Should this amount be higher than 9,- Euros, please send the receipt by mail to info@Cardiddy.com or by Fax to +34 971 406106. You will then be reimbursed for the difference.
    • Hotel deliveries. In most cases this service is available at no extra cost.In long distance deliveries a charge may be applicable. Please check our online price lists for specific conditions at the selected delivery point.
    • Technical maintenance, repairs and replacement of the vehicle in case of technical defects and/or accidents. Under normal circumstances car is replaced within 48 hours after notification of the incident to Cardiddy.com. In case a car needs to be replaced due to an accident caused by the renter, our service partner who has delivered the car remains the rigth not to supply a replacement car.
    • Technical problems caused by the driver's negligence and/or inappropriate driving will not be covered by the insurance and will be charged to the customer.
    • Theft insurance. Applying only to the vehicle, not to valuables or any personal objects left inside. Please avoid leaving valuables inside the vehicle to minimize the risk of theft ! The insurance will not cover theft of the vehicle if the driver is not in possession of its keys.
  5. Insurance
    The insurance does not cover the following damages:
    • Flat tires.
    • Damages caused to the vehicle and to third parties due to negligent or careless driving, or driving on unpaved roadways or paths.
    • Refuelling with wrong petrol. The cost for towing the vehicle, emptying and cleaning the tank will be entirely charged to the customer's credit card.
    • Damaged rims and tires and damages to the underside of the vehicle.
  6. Driver's Licence
    All drivers using vehicles hired through our website must be in possession of a driving-license valid in the rental country. The minimum-age and years of driving experience required are specified on our online-pricelists for each category respectively. Should this requirement not be complied with, the driver and not the insurance company will be held responsible.
  7. Border crossing
    For rentals in Spain, the hired vehicle may only be driven in Spanish territory. Outside spanish borders the insurance is no longer valid, being the driver held fully responsable. In some cases an additional insurance can be contracted, this information can be found in the pricelist on our web site.

    For rentals in Canada, USA, rest of Europe & Africa in some cases the insurance covers in others countries than the one where the car has been rented. If available and before crossing a border it is imperative to contract this additional insurance first. Please contact info@Cardiddy.com, or contract this service directly at the local delivery station.
  8. Loss of keys
    Rates do not include the replacement of lost or damaged car keys. Replacement costs will be charged entirely to the renter's credit card. Cost of replacement keys will depend on the key and car model.
  9. Transport of large baggage
    It is forbidden to carry any baggage or equipment that does not fit within the vehicle.This applies especially to bicycles and surfboards. The driver will be liable for repairing any damages derived from the negligent use of the vehicle and their cost can be charged directly to his credit card.
  10. Price list
    The Cardiddy.com pricelists for car rentals are based on vehicle categories, rental duration and the season of the year. We can only guarantee the delivery of the confirmed car CATEGORY, not a specific MODEL mentioned. Should the confirmed category not be available upon delivery, an upgraded vehicle will be supplied.
  11. One-way rentals
    One-way rentals are possible between many rental stations. Please select the delivery and return locations when making the reservation online. Contact info@Cardiddy.com to obtain information whether international one-ways are possible. Most one-way rentals are subject to a surcharge, which must be paid locally.

    On the Balearic Islands as well as on the Canary Islands it is strictly forbidden to take the vehicle to another island.
  12. Fuel
    In some stations the vehicle will be delivered with a minimum level of fuel at no extra cost. In the majority of rental stations the vehicle will be delivered with a full tank of petrol. The cost for the fuel (amount depends on the model and engine type) is charged upon delivery. Generally the vehicle must then be returned with the tank empty. Please note that for operational reasons there will be no refunds for unused fuel.

    We can never confirm the delivery of a certain engine type (gasoline or diesel)
  13. Supplements
    At most rental stations we can provide child seats (10-18 Kgs or 15-35 Kgs). Setting up the child seat its use is responsibility of the customer, the supplier of the vehicle and seat take over no guarantee for the installation. In some stations snow chains are available on request. The use of all these accessories is responsibility of the customer. Please check on the respective pricelist or contact us. Other extras available, subject to an extra charge, are: roof racks, ski racks, PAI, insurance coverage for extra drivers, snow chains, winter tyres, GPS systems and others.
  14. Airport deliveries
    Airport deliveries are available around the clock. Night-delivery charges might apply out of business hours. To verify the supplement please check the specific terms & conditions by clicking on the picture of the vehicle in the price list, or by clicking on the " full details & conditions " link. Some offices might be closed on Sundays and public Holidays, please ensure that you have received the booking confirmation before travelling.
  15. Traffic fines
    Renters are responsible for parking or traffic fines and motorway tolls. The hired vehicle may only be used on regular official roads.

    The participation in competitions, racing or any commercial activity (driving lessons, transportation of merchandise or any dangerous material) is strictly forbidden.
  16. Problems during rental
    In the event of a defective vehicle being delivered, or defective service is received by the local rental station, please contact Cardiddy immediately. Our staff is available during business hours on the office numbers. Outside business hours please send an e-mail to info@Cardiddy.com. we will provide all possible assistance to solve the problem without delay.

    In case of serious unsolved claims please submit all relevant data to Cardiddy by fax or e-mail or other written means, latest within 8 days after the termination of the rental agreement.

    Please note Cardiddy cannot make any refunds without a thorough examination of the fax and subsequent authorization from the companies management.

    After authorization, expenses will be refunded upon receipt of invoice or ticket. Please contact us at our postal address, phone, fax number or e-mail address as stated at the bottom of this page.

    In the event of an accident please do not forget to fill out the accident form with all details of the vehicles involved.
  17. Insurance and collision damage waiver
    The rates include a full comprehensive insurance to cover damages to your rental car.
    Some of our service partners have an excess amount. In the case of an accident or any kind of damage to the vehicle including theft, the rental company will keep the deposit made at pick-up. The deposit consists of the amount not covered by the insurance, known as “excess”. The full comprehensive insurance does not cover the excess amount. Damages to the tires, rims, glass, the top (roof) and bottom of the car are excluded. Please have in mind that driving outside of the official paved roads is not allowed. Driving off-road can provoke damages that are also excluded from the insurance.

    Please note the following exclusions in which www.Cardiddy.com does not refund:
    • The disregard of the general terms and conditions of the rental company which lead to damages, especially driving off-road.
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol, or any damages caused by a deliberate act or an act of negligence.
    • Damages caused to engine by refuelling the wrong type of petrol (e.g. refuelling gasoline in a Diesel vehicle)
    • Loss or damage of keys, including the consequential costs.
    • Damages to the tires, rims, glass, the top (roof) and bottom of the car.
    • Personal belongings stolen out of the vehicle or damaged in an accident.
    • Consequential costs such as, but not limited to, towing costs, Hotel and telephone costs.
  18. In case of an incident, the following actions must be taken:
    • The rental car company must be informed immediately. The emergency number can be found on the rental contract provided at pick up.
    • The police must be informed and a police report must be issued.
    • When returning the car, the station must issue an accident report which must be signed by the employee.
  19. To have the excess amount charged refunded, please send the following documents by mail to www.Cardiddy.com
    • The accident report signed by you and the rental station employee.
    • The police report (!)
    • A copy of the rental contract.
    • Proof of payment of the excess amount, e.g. bank excerpt.
  20. Please be advised that a refund cannot be made if the insurance ( Theft or comprehensive cover) does not cover the principal claim for whatever reason!
  21. Extension of rentals
    Reservations are contracted for the original period indicated by the customer.Rental extensions are generally possible. Please follow the instructions below if you wish to extend the hire period:
    • Call +34 627 036 466 during office hours, indicating your name, reservation number and the new ending date.
    • If the extension is possible, you will receive a new confirmation voucher. Please sign and submit this new voucher by fax to +34 971 406 106. The cost will be charged to your credit card.
    • The rental can also be extended at a local rental station, presenting the contract for its amendment, although only with the prior permission of Cardiddy.com.
  22. The extension period is handled as a new rental and will be charged as a stand-alone rental.

    The insurance of the vehicle expires at the date and time indicated on the reservation, therefore its use after such time implies legal responsibilities..
  23. Validity of rental contract
    The car rental agreement expires at the date and time specified in the original reservation. Should the customer have to return the car earlier due to circumstances beyond control, Cardiddy.com must have been informed previously in order to arrange the collection of the car at the agreed return point. Please note Cardiddy.com cannot guarantee full or partial refunds, as the rental amount is paid to the supplier. In the event of the vehicle becoming unusable after an accident caused by negligent driving and/or misuse, the Customer will not be entitled to a substitute car.
  24. Modification of rates
    Cardiddy.com reserves the right to modify its rates at any time, although rates applicable to a specific reservation are fixed as soon as it has been successfully sent.
  25. Confirmation of reservation
    Cardiddy.com will send the confirmation voucher to the address e-mail indicated on the reservation. Please indicate fax number and inform accordingly if the confirmation voucher is required via this medium.
